Meet the Founders

In 1861, the Omorovicza family unveiled the Rácz Fürdő in Budapest. There, founders Stephen and Margaret de Heinrich de Omorovicza experienced the curative powers of the mineral-charged waters of Budapest. Inspired by this experience and their eccentric heritage, they founded Omorovicza to bring the magic of the thermal baths of Budapest to the world. Budapest’s Unique Geology

Following a tectonic collision, Budapest was formed in the same moment as the Himalayas. This formed a massive fissure, where waters plunge right down and are imbued with minerals, before being delivered to the surface and discovered by the various waves of humans to inhabit Budapest, and benefit from its waters. Among those inspired by this geological marvel was the Omorovicza family, who created the Racz Fürdő, or thermal bath, the first Omorovicza Institute.
